Privacy Policy

We use Matomo, hosted on our own infrastructure. Your Matomo analytics data stays on our servers and is never shared with an ad network.

Alongside Matomo we use AI Rank Lab, a third-party service that reports which AI crawlers (the bots behind ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, and Google’s AI answers) fetch this site. Matomo cannot see those: answer engines do not run JavaScript when they crawl. AI Rank Lab receives your IP address, an approximate location derived from it, and the pages you view. We do not enable its heatmap, session-recording, or ad-pixel features. If your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, this script is never loaded.

By default Matomo runs in cookieless mode: it stores nothing on your device and does not attempt to recognise you across visits. Each page view records the page address, the referring page, and technical details your browser sends anyway, such as approximate location derived from a truncated IP address, device type, and browser.

If your browser sends a Do Not Track signal, we do not record the visit at all.

We use this only to understand which pages are useful and where visitors get stuck.

In the default cookieless configuration this site sets no analytics cookies, which is why you are not shown a cookie banner. If we later enable cookie-based analytics, a banner will appear first and nothing will be recorded until you accept. Declining is always as easy as accepting, and your choice is remembered in your browser's local storage rather than in a cookie.

When you submit the contact form we receive your name, email address, and your message. It is delivered by email to hello@softwise.app and is not written to any database on this website. We use it to answer you and, if we start working together, to keep a record of the enquiry.

When you apply for a role we receive your name, email address, any link you provide, your note, and your CV. The application is relayed by email to talent@softwise.app.

Your CV is held in memory only for as long as the request takes and is never written to disk on this website. The copy that reaches our recruitment inbox is renamed, so your original filename is not retained. Applications are kept in that mailbox while we consider you for current and future roles; ask us to delete yours at any time.

Both forms are protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that a submission comes from a person rather than a bot. To do that, Cloudflare receives your IP address and basic browser signals. It is used solely to block automated abuse. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal data. We do not run advertising pixels or social media trackers. We do not use your contact details or your CV to send marketing you did not ask for.

If you are in the EU, the UK, or another region with comparable law, you can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Because we store enquiries and applications in our mailboxes rather than a database, a deletion request is straightforward: email us and we remove the correspondence.
